Falling for You
By Bob Lee Ride Date: August 23
Niagara Falls, Ontario to Lockport, NY – 37 miles
How is this for a view from your bedroom window? It was interesting to watch the light change over the Canadian Falls. I was hoping for some sun, but no such luck.
It was hard to leave this setting, but one must ride on. Here are a few pictures of
the US Falls.
People view the falls by boat, gondola, balloons, helicopter, foot, and a few by bike. No matter how you approach the falls, you can get a charge out of it. See the bridge in the distance? This is the Lewiston-Queenston, which I will cross soon with the trucks. I hope the inspectors have been working.
Before I crossed the bridge, I thought I would take some time to see the water lilies that grow money. (Not the same as Water Lillies by Monet). I need to plant some of these in our pond.
I didn’t have to worry about the height of the bridge. I just had to stay focused while I rode between these trucks. I need to call my stockbroker. There really is a slowdown in our economy. As I went through customs, I knew the customs inspectors had job security.
This is not a political forum so I won’t comment on the signs I see at the edge of a reservation.
When one says New York, most people think of the city. For the next week I will be riding through rural New York. I am looking forward to seeing some beautiful farm country along the way.

Hi Bob,
It's been 20 years since I've been to Niagra Falls and more than 25 years since I saw it for the first time with my father. We were on our way back from a week long canoe trip in Canada. It truely is an amazing site!
Keep me posted on when you'll be in Maine! Looking forward to meeting you in person!
